Name

Al Faisaliah Resort & Spa

project information

Inspired by traditional Arabic courtyards, the Al Faisaliah Resort & Spa by Rosewood is a haven from the desert surrounds. The project’s unique sense of place is captured by light-coloured natural stone, exposed brick, and a palette of neutral colours. Onto this canvas, rich colours and fabrics are used as highlights to the natural materials, complementing them while also softening the spaces. The Arabic inspiration continues with contemporary interpretations of traditional patterns evident in decorative ceiling detailing, carved mashrabiya screens, and detailing of the upholstery. The resulting blend of materials and details creates a series of rich courtyard rooms, an oasis from the desert beyond.
